Award-winning product innovations from Cosmoprof Worldwide (2025)

On Friday 21 March, the annual Cosmoprof Awards took place at the Cosmoprof Worldwide show in Bologna.

The awards, which are judged by a team of leading industry experts, showcased some of the most disruptive launches in the global beauty and personal care industry.

Here we reveal this year’s product awards winners...

Sun Care products

Winner: Golden Vibes – Marzia Clinic – Italia

A self-tanner formulated with Neuro Sun to stimulate the release of melanin, oxytocin, beta-endorphins, and vitamin D production in the skin “mimicking the psychological and physiological benefits of sun exposure without its harmful effects.”

The ingredient is derived from sustainably cultivated Persicaria tinctoria (Japanese indigo), which enhances melanin production, protects DNA, and reduces skin inflammation, while its optimised cultivation process means the ingredient complies with organic and COSMOS standards.

The formula activated melanin production, so therefore creates a tanned effect without sun exposure. It also protects skin against environmental stressors, reducing UV and heat-induced inflammation and raises vitamin D levels.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more innovative, it also has mood-boosting properties that stimulate beta endorphin release to create a feeling of wellbeing.

The formula was developed using AI and also contains sweet almond, moringa, carrot, and watermelon seed oil for hydration and antioxidant protection.

Winner: Fresmy Peach Toothpaste Tablets for Kids – Fresmy – Estonia

Toothbrushing tablets for kids with a crunchy texture to add a sensory element to cleaning teeth. The product contains hydroxyapatite, a fluoride alternative that strengthens enamel and remineralises teeth, helps prevent cavities, and reduces sensitivity, and is gentle on young teeth.

The tablets also contain probiotics, to support a balanced pH in the mouth and promote beneficial bacteria. They are free from SLS, artificial colourings, and preservatives, have a natural peach flavour, and are presented in compostable packaging.

Winner: Probio-6 Melanocell Shampoo – Sonimedi – Korea

A preventative anti-hair-loss shampoo that treats various hair and scalp conditions and eliminates the need for conditioner. The product balances the scalp’s microbiome with probiotic ingredients and protects from UV rays. It also features caffeine to stimulate circulation to encourage hair growth; niacinamide to improve scalp barrier function and reduce irritation; biotin to strengthen hair follicles; and Lactobacillus ferment extract to help maintain a balanced scalp microbiome.

The shampoo also claims to to prevent premature greying by supporting melanin synthesis, slowing the appearance of grey hair and enhancing hair colour for a brighter, healthier look.

Winner: Alerasia Scented Candle “Pesca e Cortese” – GEFCOM – Italy

A scented candle is presented in a holder made from an upcycled wine bottle, drawing on the heritage of the brand’s home of Monferrato.

The candle’s scent Pesca eCortese, is inspired by the sparkling notes of Cortese wine and the fruity scent of Volpedo peaches, both native to the Monferrato region.

After the candle has finished burning, the vessel can be used as a drinking glass.

Home & Professional Devices & Tools

Winner: AISG (Artificial Intelligence Scalp Grader) – Aramhuvis – Korea

This AI-powered system analyses scalp conditions and provides personalised care recommendations for targeted treatments.

Using big data, the machine assesses scalp conditions and recommends customised shampoos and serums to ensure targeted care.

To develop the AI scalp analysis system, the company worked with Seoul National University Bundang Hospital to collect 100,000 data points, analysing and classifying each image.

Overall it has identified 10 scalp conditions: good, dry, oily, sensitive, atopic, seborrheic, troubled, dry-dandruff, oily-dandruff, and hair loss. Following the analysis, the AI system suggests customised shampoo and serum formulas tailored to the scalp condition.

The device is positioned for both home and professional use.

According to clinical trials conducted by Seoul National University Hospital, 93 out of 100 participants experienced improved scalp conditions after using the AI-prescribed personalised products.

Make Up Products

Winner: Mistine Soft Matte Essence Air Cushion - Better Way (Asia) – China

A water-resistant cushion foundation that lasts for 12 hours. The no-crease formulation features avocado essence-wrapped powder technology for soft skin, as well as a fine ‘polishing beads’ powder for a smooth and light finish; and a light-control film system that adjusts the refractive index of light to create a lustrous sheen on the skin, hide blemishes, and give a transparent makeup effect. Within the compact, a mesh layer helps to deliver a soft-mist finish.

Skin Care Products

Winner: Dr.Melaxin MELTING CLEANSER - Dr.Melaxin – Korea

A one-step makeup remover and cleanser formulated with the brand’s Air Melting Micellar Bubble technology, which breaks down makeup without oils. The technology uses compressed air in a water micellar bubble that bursts upon contact with makeup ingredients, to ‘melt’ them away, working with the ionic properties of makeup to offer a gentler, physical breakdown.

The foam formula creates ASMR-like sounds when applied to the skin. It also contains calamine to soothe skin and niacinamide to improve skin tone and texture.

The brand’s tests have shown that use of the product gives a 154% improvement in sebum removal, a 154% improvement in exfoliation, and a 107% improvement in skin moisturisation.

Winner: Captain Fawcett’s ‘Bianco Classico’ Beard Butter - BOTTEGA DELLA BARBA – Italy

A shine-enhancing beard butter to care for white and grey facial hair, which is often coarse in texture. Non-greasy and deeply conditioning, it is designed for use every day to soften wiry, coarse beards while adding a subtle sheen. It’s packed with shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and sweet almond oil and scented with rosemary and star anise with cyclamen, ambergris, cedarwood, and tonka. It’s packaged in a recyclable and reusable aluminium tin.

Mum & Baby Care Products

Winner: Nourished Mama Créme - Bellabaci International – South Africa

According to the brand, the cream prevents and treats stretch marks and calms skin irritation while also soothing anxiety and tension and easing digestive discomfort.

The formulation contains fractionated coconut oil, which reinforces the skin’s lipid barrier, hydrogenated vegetable oil for a silky feel, sunflower seed oil to soothe and calm skin; wound-healing calendula flower extract and vitamin E, which strengthens the skin barrier.

Nail Products

Winner: Glamlac Reishi Elixir Cuticle Remover - Glamlac – Estonia

Formulated to remove cuticles without cutting, this light gel enzyme-based remover dissolves excess cuticles in 60 seconds while soothing and hydrating skin.

The formula uses the natural enzymes papain and bromelain and AHAs to dissolve excess skin, while the adaptogen reishi extract, probiotics, and hyaluronic acid protect and repair the cuticle area.

The formula activates upon contact with the skin for a controlled application and is sold in a refillable glass bottle.

Composed of body massage cups, a massage oil, and an exfoliation mitt, this kit acts to combat cellulite and promote skin health.

Cellulite Be Gone Genie Massage Oil is a blend of essential oils to target cellulite and is combined with the brand’s cupping massage system. It claims that the massage improves oxygen delivery to the cells, and assists lymphatic drainage function, expelling toxins while promoting overall wellness.

The final step is a copper exfoliation mitt, which is used in the bath or shower to even out skin leaving it smoother and younger looking.

The company claims the kit acts to detoxify, improve blood circulation, enhance energy, break down lipid pockets, and improve lymphatic drainage, while offering stretch mark reduction and repair.
